C.R.S. - Hard chrome plating Grinding Superfinishing

History

The company CRS has been involved in metal treatment and coating for more than 40 years.

1936: a company was founded in the centre of Gallarate for the galvanisation and cleaning of metal.

1952: the company became the property of the Pedrazzini and Fabbri family.

1967: the first 2000 litre hard chrome plating bath.

1980: the company came under the management of the current chairman Armando Roncolato. Using its great experience in the field of machine tools and aeronautics, it began hard chrome plating grinding and superfinishing.
In these years it needed to change direction, rapidly converting equipment used for a variety of different processes, just to hard chrome plating. The market of plastics and paper machines manufactures became a stable point of reference for the company.

1999: although having 5 galvanising baths for a total of 35,00 litres of chrome, the company, both due to its town centre location and due to the limits imposed by the size of the warehouse, came to an important turning point.
The confidence arising from a growing number of clients allowed it to make investments so as to increase production capacity and to continually improve quality.

2000: the construction of the new production site began.

2002: a six month transitional period ended in December, during which CRS completed the transfer of production to the new equipment.

2007: despite the years from 2003 to 2006 being characterised by an unfavourable economic situation, CRS invested in grinding machines to bring the productive capacity and size of its machine shop up to that of the chrome plating division.

September 2007: certification of its environmental management system in line with regulation UNI EN ISO 14001: 2004.
