C.R.S. - Hard chrome plating Grinding Superfinishing

Giustina Farrell CNC grinding machine

Elastic foundation
This grinding machine is mounted on a robust concrete foundation, comprising one 100 m3 monolithic block that rests on the elastic units, which comprise of a total of 240 springs.
The springs are sized to ensure that vibrations generated outside do not transmit to the machine.
This feature ensures the absence of oscillating frequencies and improves the precision of the cylinder grinding processes.

Computer control
The machine, bought second-hand at the end of 2001 has had its mechanics and electrics completed serviced.
Moreover, it has been equipped with computer control enabling it to perform accurate concave and convex cylindrical grinding operations.

Hydrostatic wheel spindle
The traditional wheel spindle was replaced during servicing with a wheel spindle on hydrostatic bearings.
This device has allowed more power to be supplied to the machine enabling it to remove more metal and with increased precision.
